Identity Carousel…

June 27th, 2010

So…the title may give you a clue – or it may confuse you further!

A number of the projects I work on entail me acting in another “persona” – and of late, there has been more going on for my personae than my self. This is not a bad thing and certainly does not preclude me from anything else I do. If you are interested in Henna or any of the other things I do through this site, please contact me.

Otherwise you may find me at Mrs. Mooney’s Half Penny Dreadfuls or at The Pyrates Image.…join me for an adventure!

New Year…New Workshops

February 19th, 2010

Kung Hei Fat Choy…Happy Lunar New Year to all! Many new and exciting things in the works for 2010! The schedule for my Spring/Summer Workshops will be posted soon and I look forward to having you join me  in new adventures.

Speaking of adventures…my darling Pyrate Captain and I are soon southward bound to New Orleans for NOLA Pyrate Week . This is something we love being involved in along with our many friends in New Orleans. This year’s 10 day event is shaping up quite nicely and we very excited. So much to see and do and we have some truly amazing talent joining us this year. As per usual however, we still need Volunteers to help rebuild with lowernine.org.  This is a grass roots organization that doesn’t get the funding or have STAR power backing it. One of the reasons we feel it is SO important to try and help them make a difference. Of course seeing our friends every year during our trips is also great fun and NOLA is now our “Official” home away from home. There is an amazing vibe in the city unlike any other I’ve experienced. It’s hard to describe  the frenetic yet laid back energy there, you somehow just have to experience it to understand. This city captures your heart and it’s friendly vibrant off-beat people are a joy to meet and know. It’s a bit like being at a party for Bacchus.  The people, food, drink, architecture, the river & the history all wrapped up in a strange kind of underlying… Magic!   Their hospitality is wondrous and the city breathes…  ‘Laissez les bon temps rouler‘ Truly a spectacular place that should be experienced in one’s lifetime and we feel blessed each time we are there.
