Gypsy Seika is a woman of many talents. Belly dancer, artist, musician, actor and chef - not to mention raising three children! Seika has been a Belly Dancer since 1991. Initially training with teacher Badia Star in the Egyptian style, she has since gone on to develop and teach a unique Gypsy style of Belly Dance incorporating movements and techniques from Lebanese, Turkish, Moroccan, Flamenco and other ethnic styles of dance. "Traditionally, belly dancing is not choreographed. That is a very western concept. Belly dancers dance from their hearts, and the music tells them how to move. began teaching weekly classes in Hamilton,
Ontario; bringing
energy, beauty, and spirit to every class. As a performer her beautiful costumes and exuberant improvised dance will capture your attention and heart. Her dance abilities also include the use of props such as veil, sword, Zills (finger cymbals) and fans. On many occasions she has also been known to sit in and drum for other performers, as she is a skilled Doumbek and Darbuka player. Seika has worked in over 300 theatrical productions, created improvised music and has paintings hanging in exhibits and private collections across the globe - including the Art Gallery Of Hamilton.
